Sutton Coldfield MP Andrew Mitchell has met with Andy Jackson, the new General Manager of the town’s shopping centre, The Mall.
The meeting was arranged by Mr Mitchell to ensure that all relevant parties will be working together closely in order to better shape the future of the town centre.
Later in the month Mr Mitchell will meet Mike Bushell, Sutton’s first full-time town centre manager, to discuss similar issues.
Mr Jackson recently started in his new role as General Manager of The Mall and comes from a background in retail management.
Andy Jackson said, “As two people who are committed to the development of Sutton Coldfield, we will both be working together for the benefit of all the people who use Sutton’s town centre.”
Andrew Mitchell said, “Making progress on Sutton’s town centre regeneration is one if my key priorities as Member of Parliament. It is obviously difficult in the current economic circumstances but we are pointed in the right direction as a result of the extensive consultation throughout our town.”
